At the beginning of the year, I had the opportunity to talk about my artistic journey in an interview with Jennifer Traub, who works in online journalism at Hochschule Darmstadt.

Among other things, I talk about my relationship with art, my motivation and my views on AI. I also discuss where digital art fits into today's art scene and offer a possible perspective on how it can be positioned in the real world.

Jennifer Traub: “What subject is still very relevant to you at the moment?”

I’d like to talk about AI in this context. When I exhibit my art and people who aren’t very familiar with the digital world learn about my work, they often bring preconceived ideas to it because digital art gets lumped together with AI. But that’s not the case. I find it very unfortunate that people like me, who don’t work with AI, are met with this prejudice. There’s still a lot of work to be done to raise awareness. AI isn’t inherently bad, either. For example, Gesine Born has started a project using AI to depict women in science who haven’t received recognition for their achievements. I was very impressed by it. I think it’s important for people to be open to learning about AI before passing judgment.
