Ingrid Vollrath
The main subject of my paintings is expressive, abstract, and atmospheric landscapes, focused on the essential, in acrylic and mixed media. Nothing inspires me as much as nature itself. Inspired by the dynamic sky moods, expanse, light, and atmosphere of the mostly Nordic landscapes, the images emerge intuitively using a variety of materials and media. I'm not interested in true-to-life depictions, but rather in an artistic and experimental exploration of the landscape.
